RNAV Visual 23 at Split automatic Hold

Hello everyone. When plannig the RNAVV for RWY 23 in the FENIX A320 an HOLD over point LASUL is automatically inserted. While I can get rid of it with the PMDG there is no way I can delete the hold in the FENIX. I tried to delete the point, push exit immediately, but look like the only way to get rid of it from the flight plan is to direct to the next point in the chart and totally skipping point LASUL. I also saw few videos on youtube where they all have the same issue.
Can anyone help?

Have you tried selecting via IDNUM or EVUGA - these are IAF or initial approach fix and that is where the approach should begin. You can start it at LASUL as well - just delete the hold. I am not sure why it is putting hold in there first as that is actually on the missed approach procedure.

I’ll try this approach myself in fenix a320 and will see.

Mmmm. Interesting. I will try to pud EVUGA as initial fix and see if it is still planning the hold. Thing is that the NUPSO arrivals all ends up at LASUL so it should be the correct IAF for the approach.

PS. Note that also the PMDG inserts the hold at LASUL but I can delete it like any other fix in the legs page

Right So I attempted this approach in Fenix A320 and you are correct in the fact that when I select RNAV visual 23 via LASUL it puts the hold in as default. Now looking at approach chart there is note which says that radar is required for this approach so I am assuming what happens in reality is ATC will normally put the aircraft on hold at LASUL before clearing them for approach (Something similar to what they do in Madeira).

I was able to delete the hold fix then connect my flight plan with LASUL then SP509. Take a look at the chart below for this approach.

Thanks so much for you help. How did you manage to get rid of the hold? If I try to delete it automatically creates it back again. I also triied to delete both the fix and the hold and then insert the point LASUL again but it creates the hold again

Sorry for late response - click on CLR button in MCDU then select point where it says LASUL hold, Once you done that it will give you F-Plan discontinuity, Simply click clear again and join up your route with next waypoint.

If you fly on online networks such as Vatsim/IVAO then I would suggest not clearing any route discontinuity if it exists on STAR or SID, That simply means you can expect radar vectoring from ATC.
