Robust VR settings rationale

Hi fellow VR simmers,

I’m relatively new to all things fs2020 and VR. So far I’m loving it however!

I have a Gigabyte RTX3080, i9000k, 64gb RAM and a Reverb G2.

I’ve followed a few setup tutorials and am experiencing good results. As we all typically do, I then started tweaking here and there however no meaningful increase in smoothness and quality, however that said the base level I am experiencing is pretty decent.

Given my lack of in depth technical knowledge and the fact that I’d rather fly than get hung up on tweaking all day, I then started to explore the simplest setup I could get whilst keeping performance.

At the moment at the time of writing with everything updated, I have windows open XR set to a scale of around 80% rear projection enabled, I am no longer using the XR toolkit and have DLSS on quality mode in sim.

Apart from initial “mirage” like warping until I went out of VR and back in (anyone else had that issue?) I have smoothness and decent level of cockpit and terrain fidelity.

Could it simply mean that without a significant GPU upgrade, this is the level you can get currently? I understand if people are having a major stutter issues or a specific problem, then tweaking and exploring options is important, but is there any other “game changers” I possibly could be missing?
