Rolling cache not working

When starting flight sim my rolling cache is set to 0 every time and I’m unable to change it. I try to change the path of the cache and it says path is invalid, even when using the default path. I also tried just increasing the size of the rolling cache, but it says ‘please enter a valid numeric value’, and when I save the settings and re-open them, it is set back to 0. I have tried re-installing and verifying files but nothing worked. I have >700GB free on C drive too.

Shut down sim.

Move the rollingcache.ccc file to another folder.

Shut down File Manager.

Start the sim.

It should create a new default cache file of 16GB

Btw: I use a custom folder C:/MSFS24_RollingCache
At that location it’s easier to find, monitor, move etc.

There’s a file somewhere that might define the cache size. Anyone know?

Searched the entirety of my pc and rollingcache.ccc doesn’t exist anywhere

ROLLINGCACHE.CCC is located by default in the LocalCache folder:
C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

I’m not seeing a Microsoft.Limitlexx folder

Just realized that you are on Steam and I am on ms-store so path is different. For Steam, look at this one:
\Users[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\

Not sure if it is inside the “Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024” folder or a sub-folder:

still not there, I’ve seen other posts about it not generating if there isn’t enough space on drive but I have plenty

The folder “0001_0003” is filled with .psocache files
