Rolling cache Setting being synced between devices

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
I setthe rolling cache folder as “D:\MSFS2024RC” on my laptop and saved. When I open MSFS2024 on my handheld and desktop, the rolling cache path was synced to the same path as my laptop. Since the path does not exist, the size was set to zero and the settings can not be changed. In order to make it function properly, I have to press “reset to default”, restart the game, and then set the path and size of the rolling cache to my desired ones.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

Exactly. I just migrated from laptop to new pc build. I can’t find where the heck CC file is, not even in the usual place.

I found a possible solution.

If this happens due to using two devices (eg laptop and pc), then you need to have the exact same location and folder name.

For ex, in laptop, the CC file is in D: Cache 24, then you need to create D: Cache 24 in pc.

Then go to online, set the rolling cache location to D: Cache 24, save, and exit. Finally the CC file emerges in that folder.

Delete the file in D: Cache 24. Create a new one. Or you might as well use that if you dont want to place it in an another location.

This is because your PC mimicks the location of the rolling cache location in your laptop.

In my case, in my laptop, the cache folder is in E, while I only have C and D in my PC. So I use a USB flash drive which is named E. All in need to do is create an exact same folder name in it.

This bug remains in the latest SU4 beta build.
