RTO resetting to "Off" before takeoff on the Boeing Aircraft

Hello Folks;

This have been driving crazy from the very 1st time I purchased the product but have been ignoring it thinking that it may be fixed in subsequent updates.

Every time I set my autobrake to RTO (before taxing which is the correct procedure) it gets reset to 'Off" anytime I manually apply the breaks. I always end up having to wait until I line up with the runway before setting it. The other issue with that is once I line up, hold the breaks to advance the engines it gets reset to Off again. I normally end up having to use the parking break to hold and advance the engines to get around the issue.

I know that the “Auto Break” (settings 1,2,3,4) gets set to “Off” after touchdown, reverse thrusts are disengaged and manual breaking is applied which is correct; but “RTO” shouldn’t revert to “Off” by applying the breaks before I take off. That’s why there is a distinct difference between RTO and Auto Break setting. At least that’s the way it works on the Boeing, not sure how things work on the Airbus.

Not sue if I am the only one experiencing this, or am I going crazy. Maybe I am missing a settings somewhere, wouldn’t be the 1st time.

As always thanks for your help and input.

Kindest Regards.

I see the same behaviour in the default A320 when I set MAX brakes before takeoff and after stopping the aircraft on holding point, it will turn off the MAX brake. I always have to remember to set it on again after I’m on the runway.

Yeah, it seems to be an overall issue with the default aircrafts. I guess we’ll have to wait for the 3rd. party aircrafts. Until then, we’ll have to remember to reset the Autobrake on the runway just before takeoff :slightly_smiling_face:.
