RTX 2080 Super and motherboard question

I’m running an Alienware 9 with 32 Ram. I run settings on high and it always seems that my RTX 2080 Super is always at 99-100%. Does that really matter? Can i just slip in another graphics card if i want?

Also, this is the second time my motherboard has needed to be replaced in the 1 1/2 years I’ve had the computer (thankfully under warranty). Could it have anything to do with the 2080 running so hard?

I do not believe this game supports SLI

What is SLI?

SLI are 2 cards in the same machine linked together… as in 2 x 2080 Supers in the one machine

I only have one RTX 2080 Super

Do you have a frame limiter or vsync ON? if you set one (E.g. at 30fps if your normal fps oscillate at more than 30) if will give some headroom to your GPU and it will run cooler. If you don’t have one (as it seems) your system run “on free wheel” so the GPU is fully used, but it induce stutters. Having a limiter will set your system at GPU limited witch is a good thing to stabilize fps and have a smoother experience.
