I am looking to change my GPU soon, however getting hold of a top end card in the UK is impossible unless you buy a new system. If anyone has bought an RTX 3060TI 8Gb could you let me know if the change is worth while for VR.

I’m still waiting for the 3080. I heard there will be a 3080i latter this year so I will wait.
Sorry but its not worth the upgrade the 3060ti is not way faster than the 1080 especially when the sim is mostly CPU bound. Yes in GPU bound games it will be 20-30fps ahead.

I have a ryzen 5 3600 with a gtx 1080. The Sim works perfectly fine with CPU loads of 60%. while the GPU always showed 99%. The game is smooth and I fly in VR mostly in rural areas in the UK. (the game runs more smoothly in ireland than uk sceneries !)
I was looking forward to get a 3060ti in the hope that it balances things. The 3070 is a bit pricier.
Now, I don’t know whether the CPU needs to be upgraded too.
My 16 GB RAM works at about 50% load
