It’s totally obvious that MSFS needs massive GPU grunt to get good results and even the GTX 1080 Ti a previous top end GPU needs the settings lowered in order to get playable results.
I’ve seen the RTX 3090 results vs RTX 3080 and around +10 fps for RTX 3090 - And costs a lot more than RTX 3080 although some prices have dropped.
How does the RTX 3070 Ti stack up against the RTX 3080? - Is this a tiny small difference? - or will the difference be noticed? - Thanks
Hi - It seems then as if it is nearly 25% - Which is 1/4 more performance.
Over the last few years I’ve been a member on Overclockers Net as I learned to build a machine and be able to do an OC on a CPU etc …and monitor the vitals of a system in a basic sort of way.
One member mentioned that sometimes “User Benchmark Com” can be way out - But not all the time - Is there really a 25% difference in MSFS between RTX 3070 Ti & RTX 3080?
I keep tossing the idea of upgrading my GTX 1080 ti on my I7 7700k pc but I have everything set on high and the sim runs very smooth for a long time. Will a newer RTX really help.
Hi - It’s good to know that your 7700 K (Kaby Lake) & GTX 1080 Ti play MSFS quite smoothly - What resolution are you on? - Have you tried a VR headset? - And have you overclocked or delidded your 7700 K? - Any info. is good as I do have a 7700 K CPU somewhere - Thanks
I am at 4k resolution, and the others are 1920x1080. I never looked at the frame rate so I will do that next time. Someone told me if anything a do a update cpu is all that I need. However, the prices are dropping for the RtX cards. How do you display Frame rates. i am not sure how to bring up the menu anymore
