I’m seeing some videos on YouTube advertising “RTX on” vs “RTX Off”.
Can I confirm that this is done automatically by my graphic card and I don’t need to switch anything on manually ? As in, DX11 will be RTX Off, and DX12 will RTX On ?
Is this the way it works ?
Assuming those are the promo videos for the upcoming 4000 series cards, they’re not relevant to any current hardware.
If you want to disable RTX for the sim you have to go into usercfg.opt and turn off things like the line that says Raytracing 1 should be set to 0, there are a few more in lines in the file you’ll have to set to 0 as well.
