Hi,
Can we dim / make smaller the taxiway edge lights and perhaps the runway lights too? Currenly they are massive, especially the rwy edge lights. The white lights on the runway feel also a bit big (not too bright!) but it’s difficult to give a reference since a video/picture works differently than eye and I hope the simulation is trying to give representation of what the eye sees.
I would like to see that and if you notice the lights are just as bright 10 feet away from you as they are 7000’ down the runway. That is not realistic.
How can I disable or dim the purple taxiway edge light lamps at night time? I find the night time emission of taxiway lights way too exaggerated and their purplish color just turns me off. I want to totally disable or dim them or change their colour tone.
Unfortunately as I understand it the ERL’s (elevated runway lights) are on 24/7 at the base code.
They should also be just over a foot tall and 4.5 inches wide, they are all massively huge.
Also, if anyone can even lead me to the art/object files for the ERL’s, PAPI, Runway System or even the Beacon file please post or PM. I have no clue how but I’ll try fiddling with them at this point.
Adding another comment here. I agree they have always been far too big.
I wonder if anyone has found the model file anywhere? This could be a fairly simply 3rd party mod.
Last time I flew into Logan at night I noticed much of the standard meter tall yellow lights replaced by smaller brighter lights, it was very Tron on the ground.
