Hi. Just wondering if anyone is using a combination of an rx 7900 xtx with Samsung Neo G9 57” monitor. Would like to know what the experience is like. The concern for me is if the card is able to drive the resolution (7680 x 2160) at high settings. Also a bit concerned about the FOV on the G9 (stretching). Currently using a 34” 4K monitor and considering the G9 or an OLED TV (55” either Samsung 95F or LG C5/G5).
One thing that I would benefit from if I go with the G9, is being able to split the screen so I can use another computer while using my main computer for flightsim.
I use one to drive a Pimax Crystal Light which has a native resolution of 2880x2880 per eye so 5760x2880 total. To be able to hit an acceptable framerate (~45fps) while still keeping the detail levels quite high I have to run it 75% resolution which is 4320x2160.
Just be aware that the GPU is not the only important factor in the FPS equation, you’ll need a good CPU and an adequate amount of RAM as well.
I’m currently running 4096x2160 as this is the max resolution supported by my Samsung 55” S90D Oled. In checking my 7900xtx it lists the following specs below (which is standard for all 7900xtx’s). @LashedKnave2173 should be able to run 7680x2160 without issues.
I am using 7900 xtx, 7800x3d with the Samsung Neo G9 57”. With TAA and ultra preset it runs at around 34 fps and can drop to around 28 when very close to the ground. From my memory I can’t see much gain in fps at high settings compare to ultra so I just keep it as ultra.
