Hello, (first post)
Just purchased 3 x saitek flight panels, is there a holder for desk top ?
forgot to say ,this would be the ideal holder.
I just mounted my 3 directly to each other (using the screws provided) then attached the bottom one to a wooden base.
Sits fine on my desk and the panels rake back at a nice angle.
As far as I know, there is no specific holder, not even on Etzy. The screwholes match to mount it on Honecomb Alpha and Bravo ubits but thats it.
However, with the screwholes you can build your own rather easily. I used a desk clamp and some screws to build my own mount. Worked really well !
I just mounted them one on top the other as they are designed to do.
As I already have touch screens mounted to my Alpha and Bravo that wasn’t an option so I just used industrial Velcro and stuck it right to the surface of the desk.
Hasn’t budged.
I use an Onstage LPT6000 laptop stand. I finagled it a bit - took the side arms apart and used the lower portions with the clamps to affix it to the desk, and adjusted the width to fit the panels. Works perfectly to hold the stack in place on top of the desk.
Then I took the upper portion of the side arms, flipped the assembly upside down and attached the keyboard tray to hold my computer keyboard neatly above my CH yoke. Got two benefits out of one fairly inexpensive product that I had bought for live music production many years prior.
Thanks all i mounted to a wooden oak block ,looks great.
