Savage Cub has the wrong propeller

Has anyone noticed that the Savage Cub’s propeller is incorrect? It is supposed to be wooden!

Can’t say I’ve ever paid attention to propellers except to check if they spinning tbh

Maybe it is wood but painted.

Looks like carbon fiber to me.

Google “savage cub photos” and you’ll see that props can come in all colors and sizes. Aren’t there more important nits to pick?

Hmm I found one picture with a wooden propeller (who wood use wood for a propeller? This material is too weak and get´s soaked with humidity and is in general too soft for a prop and will get distorted and warped over time depending on humidity and rpm.)

The rest of all Savage Cub propellers looks like this:

What??? Do you know that even some high performance fighters in WWII used wooden propellers?

Look at sensenich.com Props of all kinds of materials including many wood. Wooden props have been certified for 100 plus years on GA aircraft and reliably flown. Carbon has come only very recently.

My personal opinion. A Cub with a carbon prop is like a pimped-up VW Beetle pretending to be a Porsche. But to each it’s own.

Neither of those aircraft are the Savage Cub we have in MSFS.

A Savage Cub has a wooden prop as stated in the POH and as seen on the Zlin Aviation website.

I have went ahead and created a bug topic Here and submitted a report to Zendesk.

Actualy it’s not an old piper cub, even if it looks like, the zlin aviation savage cub is a modern plane in a piper skin
