:white_check_mark: ISSUE DESCRIPTION

  1. Description of the issue:
Load an airplane, use the SAVE VFR VIEW command to save a new default view from the cockpit. From this point on if you load another aircraft the default view is broken.

This is important to be able to adjust the default cokcpit view to the user likes. Some of the default views are either too low or too close to the windshield.

  1. If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
    All of the default aircraft.

  2. Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

:white_check_mark: FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you? (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)

Always, easy to reproduce.

:white_check_mark: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue.

  1. Load a default aircraft.
  2. Bind a key to SAVE VFR VIEW for example ctrl-V
  3. Change cockpit view, press ctrl-V to save the new view.
  4. Load any OTHER aircraft, default view is broken.

Noticed the same bug!
I reported it here as well as I did not see your post Default VFR Camera completely messes up all the cameras on every plane

I still dont know how to fix my cameras and its driving me nuts!

It is making me completely insane because I really want to adjust the default view to my liking.

Im pretty sure saving any custom camera is breaking all cameras. It’s even causing CTDs for me.

I’m experiencing the same issue. I set a key command for “VFR PILOT VIEW SAVE” and used it to change the default view in the Cessna 152, and it broke the cameras in all the other planes, rendering them essentially unusable. The cameras are now far behind the pilot’s seat, outside the aircraft in some cases. It seems I also cannot save a new default view in the planes with broken cameras.

I certainly hope this bug will be fixed soon, because I have been unable to find a solution.

I’m experiencing the same issue when setting custom cameras. I found that when setting or resetting a custom camera on one airplane, other airplane`s same number custom camera will break. If I re-start the sim the custom camera is in where I just setted.

It appears what’s happening with custom cameras is that if you set a custom camera on one aircraft, it then ovewrites that custom camera on every other aircraft.

Example - I set up custom cameras for my C-172. I then set up 2 custom cameras for the 737 Max 8. When I go back to the C-172, the custom cameras I’ve set up for the 172 are replaced by the ones I’ve set up for the 737 (they are several feet in front of the 172’s nose.)

Very annyoing, and makes larger aircraft difficult to fly, particularly if you like setting up multiple custom cameras to view all the important systems.

I figured out how to fix the broken cameras. I assigned a key command for “VFR PILOT VIEW RESET.” This enabled me to return the camera viewpoint to the default for that plane. (I had tried this before, but somehow accidentally set the key command incorrectly.) Now I realize the cameras are not irreparably broken, at least. However, this is still a bug that needs to be fixed, since the user should be able to set the camera for each plane individually without breaking the others.

EDIT: Upon further testing, even this fix does not seem to work consistently. I tried setting the camera in the Savage Cub, then after switching to other planes, realized that the VFR PILOT VIEW RESET command was not working to fix the broken cameras in the other planes. Upon restarting the sim, however, the cameras were fixed.

I think I found a fix, at least for me. In controls settings for mouse and keyboard, in the lower left change the preset to 2024 transversal.

And how is this supossed to help? It only changes the keybinds you use.
This bug is easy to reproduce but doesn’t happen always, are you sure this consistently fixes the problem of changing one default cockpit view and making a mess in the other planes views?

I created a thread on this same topic before I realised it was a bug.

There is a workaround for now but it’s long winded and irritating, so this bug absolutely needs to be fixed, but I’ll link to my post here so at least you can work around it for now if you want…
