Every time I staring the sim the value of render scaling is set to 100. I change it to 130 and save but next time I see 100 again. Is it possible to save my setting permanentely?
Did you by any chance do the tweak to increase terrain level of detail beyond 200? Reason I ask is that part of doing that tweak requires making the file read only afterwards so that it can hold the value higher than 200. This is the same file that handles the render scale so if you set it to read only it will not save the render scale change.
Nvidia Geforce Experience is apparently messing with MSFS settings. I’d check that if I were you.
No GF Experience I don’t use. Read only for that file I’ll try, I know this file. Thank you!
Did you set usercfg.opt file to “read-only”?
No, where I can find this file?
For steam version, it’s
C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\UserCfg.opt
Found this file and give it a try, thanks.
If I set to read only, am I able to alter the settings ingame or do I have to remove the attribut for this time?
I have a same problem, it didn’t happen to me before the latest patch.
For me it was the FSUIPC beta. If i have it active then my graphics preferences would not save.
No, I don’t use any external programs or mods in MFS.
yeah its a weird one. by any chance did you update nvidia drivers recently?
Yes, I run the latest nvidia drivers. But i didn’t try the older driver.
Try manually change it to 1.30 for scaling and set it to read only if somehow the in game setting did not work.
i’m on older driver (452.06). but in any case it also doesn’t make sense to me, i could also save settings before no problems.
Do you have Windowed 1 or 0 in the User.cfg?
hopefully this helps??
