SBGL RW10 ILS misalignment

When doing ILS approaches into SBGL RW10, I encounter major misalignements with the runway.

  1. Takeoff from anywhere
  2. Do and ILS approach to SBGL RW 10L
  3. Try landing with ILS and you’ll clearly see the issue

Some airports have offset ILS so it is not necessarily an issue. Have you checked the chart for this one ?

Looks like you are lined up and right on the glideslope. You appear to have a bit of a crosswind from the left, but the bird is right over the runway.

No, I should have posted a picture closer to the runway, misalignement gets even worse and it was very hard to correct at the last minute. Try it yourself.

So I’ve looked at the charts and there are 3 separate ILS approaches.

ILS T RWY 10, ILS U RWY 10, and ILS X RWY 10

All of them appear to be standard straight-in ILS approaches with no offset and a standard 3.0 degree glideslope. All three use the same ILS frequency ITB 109.3 and a 97 degree final approach course.

I will attempt to fly the ILS in FS2024 and see what happens.

Since you are using DX11, can I assume you were flying the approach in free flight in FS2020?

I’m unable to find an offset in the ILS in FS2024. The ILS guides me down to the runway as I would expect.
