Do I put add-on scenery in the regular community folder? Like where I put my add-on aircraft and other add-ons?
Correct, any addons that you purchase outside of the Marketplace would go into your Community folder.

Btw - not sure if you have heard of it but you can use a free utility called MSFS Addon-ons Linker to manage all of your 3rd party add-ons.
