Schweizer S300CBI unflyable for me

The bird is really sluggish and unrecoverable. Can’t even takeoff without it oscillating wildly into the ground. Cut throttle and it just keeps flopping around til it flips over. Using all realistic settings. All the axis are set to 1:1. Is there something I’m missing.

It’s the only heli I am unable to even remotely control. There must be something wrong with this one - as I am really used to helo’s and this one - no chance. No idea what the hell Nemeth was thinking with this flight model…

That’s exactly what I thought from release day until yesterday. I sent dozens of messages to them, and posted here on these forums too. Then I watched belatu42’s videos on YouTube, and also bought a ProFlightTrainer Puma X to make my helicopter flying more fun. And yesterday, for the first time, I managed to fly this wicked helicopter.

Been there, seen it. Trust me. You will eventually master it. And when you do, you will realise it’s the most incredible flight model MSFS helicopters have ever seen.

I recorded this yesterday, it’s one of my first flights with no hull loss.

Disputed by some, but whether it’s a bug or not (i think it is). If you are having issues controlling the s300 try rotating your cyclic stick base 45deg to the right. Then use it like it’s oriented like a normal stick. The heli flies fine for me if I just do this one thing.
Other than that use very small input changes as it’s very sensitive to cyclic inputs.

Also it is very light (or overpowered) by default now in fs2024, so add some weight to the passengers. So say 220lbs each instead of 170lbs each. Really helps with ground “floatiness” seen in fs2024.

Been flying with it a lot today, its quite enjoyable when you get it going.

Nice flying here! But if I compare it to basically all other heli’s - some of them being AAA-models such as Taog’s - they just behave totally different. Is it maybe because it’s so small? Does it really behave like this in real world? If so - who would buy such a death machine lol?
