Screen flickering only in MSFS

Hello,

The last few times I have tried flying my screen randomly starts to flicker. I know normally this is a graphics driver issue. I am on driver 516.59 (the latest) and it is only when I am playing MSFS. I am using built in V-Sync, DX11, TAA, and am using my 1440p monitor via display port.

Is it an LG monitor?

Since you didn’t indicate that you were in the beta, I assume you’re not. When I had HDR active before the beta, every time my mouse would move, appear, or disappear, the screen flickered. I wrote a bug report on it a long time ago, and it appears that when I installed the SU10 beta, it was resolved.

When zooming far back, the co-pilot EFB screen is also flickering.

No it’s a MSI monitor that has G-Sync.

I am not in the beta. I can say before SU9 I never had screen flickering. But I am also using the latest Nvidia drivers and I know plenty of forums have said to revert back to one of the 472 drivers I believe it was.

Using the latest driver is NOT always better. I suggest for MSFS you try driver 497.29 assuming Win 10, 64 bit.

In the Fenix the EFB screens have heavy flickering when zooming far out. The LCD screens stay sharp and constant.
I am not sure if this is driver related but I remember a few months ago all screens were fully flickering in all aircraft whenever zooming back just a little bit.
This issue has been solved by Asobo updates (I know that because I am most of the time too lazy to update the graphics card driver for almost a year sometimes, and even the Windows updates get delayed as long as possible. It may sound stupid and very conservative in the ears of absolute computer enthusiasts who declare software outdated when it´s older than a few hours - but never change a running system *ggg)
