SDK - Will It Ever Be Available for Xbox Users?

As the title says, will the SDK (livery and/or scenery designer) ever be available for Xbox users. Seems that other platforms have this available, albeit in game such as Train Sim World or whatever it is called. Even as a stand alone you would think that this would be a possibility? Anyone heard of any plans for this to happen?

never heard about that and I watch all development updates

Train Sim World has a livery designer and scenario designer and some decent quality work to download, but it’s not a full open SDK. It’s just a livery designer feature that has a bunch of default graphics you can use to replicate real-world liveries as best you can and paint them over existing trains you’ve purchased in the sim/game. Even then it’s more of a “close to” than an actual true-to-life livery creator since it’s limited to whatever in-game graphics they offer (unlike a paint booth that other games had years ago where you can download a creation from photoshop). So technically the MSFS Marketplace is better since you get custom planes/liveries/scenery on XBox, which TSW doesn’t offer.

The PC version on the other hand has a full SDK where actual mods/addons can be created that give you access to trains and scenery/routes unavailable in the sim.

To answer the question, I don’t believe so because I don’t think any other game offers an SDK available to XBox users since it’s a closed system and always has been since the One Series came out. I think the only think we may get is more compatibility with what PC offered in terms of the content library and the default items behind able to be removed. Also more testing done for creators on the console itself to help with reliability issues and prevent CTDs.

Tools are availiable for console testing to help optimise products to avoid ctds, black avionics etc

Is this for MSFS or TSW? I was under the impression that MSFS had it, but TSW didn’t since everything was based on what’s already in the sim/game?

EDIT: Saw your update. I was more so talking about expanding it, but glad to see it’s already pretty well defined.

This is msfs xpp
