Selecting any text field in EFB causes all controls to become non responsive

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

If you click on a text field, any controls will not work.

I fly helicopters exclusively, so I noticed immeddaly that I had zero control as I also dont use autopilot, so it instantly just held the last input before the text cursor was in the text field.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Fly aircraft
  2. Give a slight control input
  3. Click on the EFB where you are in a text field, like entering an IACO airport code
  4. Note that as long as the text field is selected, you cant not use any axis or switches to change things or fly the aircraft
  5. If using VR, also note that if you deselect the text field, the VR controllers sometimes can not select anything until you toggle a switch somewhere. Moving an axis will not kick it into working. Sometimes even have to Esc to menu and then back in to get control over everything again.

YES
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

•After pressing TAB to get the EFB, you can move that window anywhere on the same monitor, and control inputs still work. BUT if you then want to
move it to another monitor then you click on the left-hand box in the upper right of the EFB window.

From that point, anytime your PC’s cursor is located in the EFB window, no control inputs may be made to the aircraft, whether or not the EFB is located in your sim window on the same monitor or moved to another monitor.

The odd thing is that you can have any other app open on your other monitor, say LittleNavMap for instance - you can operate with the cursor in that app and at the same time you can still control the aircraft. It’s only the EFB window that interferes with control inputs.

I wrote about this issue months ago, maybe in the Wishlist.
