I recently got a the VKB Gladiator NXT and I was wondering if other owners would like to share their setting for sensitivity for a natural feeling? I am debating whether I should just keep the curves linear and use extremity deadzones, or use non-linear curves for the full range. Has anyone figured out some good settings that feels realistic?
By the way, I am absolutely loving this stick! It feels like a huge upgrade from my old T16000. This is really something different!
Why would you want ANY deadzones at all? The whole point of the Gladiator is that they don’t have any deadzones! (further more, the gladiator have reduced throw compare to a lot of other sticks on the market. You’d want to be able to use ALL of its range)
I have my ailerons pretty close to linear and elevators at reduced 30% curve. Pitch axes is the most sensitive on pretty much all desktop simulators. So using a bit of curve on it would help with approaches.
Actually, extremity deadzones are not deadzone in the middle. They cut off in the ends of the output so that you can have a low sensitivity while keeping the curve linear. The downside, of course, is that you don’t get max output when you use max on the stick. This is OK in civilian flight since you never need max anyway.
I recently got the NXT, the 30% on pitch is better, its a shame though, the aircraft are way too twichy in MSFS.I thought about changing to the 30 springs but dont know if that will help reduce the sensitivity at all
