"Set heading indicator" key does not work any more

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: in FS2024 SU4 1.6.7.0, when I fly the Powrachute Sky Rascal and get the message about the incorrect heading indicator - this here …

then pressing “k” key on the keyboard doesn’t remove the message as it used to do in SU 3 and before.
I have confirmed that in the settings the key “k” (without modifiers) is indeed configured to “Set heading indicator”.

Assigning another (certainly not used) key like “Ä” on a German keyboard to this task doesn’t solve the issue, this key doesn’t make the message go away either.

Fun fact: Checked in SU3 (1.5.27.0) again, had the message appear twice, each time a minute or so after starting the flight, and both times it disappeared all by itself after like 2 seconds without me having to press the key. So this is the other extreme …

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you? Had the issue in a handful of free flights today.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Choose “Free Flight”. Choose the Powrachute Sky Rascal as plane.

  2. Start a flight anywhere (e.g. Ngorongoro crater, Tanzania). After a while the message will pop up. Tip: Typically if you increase the sim rate significantly it will come up much quicker like within a minute or so.

  3. Press “k” - Nothing happens.

YOUR SETTINGS

If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.

What peripherals are you using: See screenshot:

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it? No

I don’t understand.

The Powrachute does not support setting the Heading.
It has no Avionics.

But it is fun to fly.
And easy to fly.

To be honest, I cannot judge things like this. I assumed that maybe it’s some internal kompass thing that I just don’t see in the “cockpit”. It can well be that the message should not appear in the first place and that this is the actual bug.
As a matter of fact I get this message regularly as long as I fly the Powrachute in FS2024 and in previous versions I could just make the annoying message go away by pressing the button.

If someone else can confirm your opinion I will change the title of the bug.

Moved to User Support Hub > Aircraft & Systems as OP indicates that this issue occurred in previous versions, not just Sim Update 4 Beta | MSFS 2024

A post was split to a new topic: Temp Move

Here is a video showing me getting the message with the exact above described steps (including increasing the sim rate two times per keyboard shortcut) within 10 seconds after starting the flight. I was “lucky” here as it usually takes a bit longer to appear. This video was taken on SU 3 release, as I have, in the mean time, reverted to that version.
(Also, the video is low resolution in order to adhere to the forum’s file size requirements.)

It would be nice if anyone can tell if he or she can reproduce the message coming up or not.

P.S. It would be interesting if the message can be correctly closed with the “k” key in other planes but I rarely fly other planes (except the Cessna 172) and cannot remember having it seen there. If it can be reproduced with other planes then it would make sense imho to split the two issues in separate bug reports. Any feedback on this is appreciated.
