When setting up custom cockpit views on any aircraft, I move the camera to view what I want to select and then I assign it. I have it set up so that my Number pad is used to bring up my selected view. I will set the view, as an example just looking at a specific overhead panel on my Heli, and then I will later Select the view. Rather than look just at the specific panel I set, it will zoom all the way out and view all the adjacent buttons and circuit breakers. Then I’m zoomed too far out to see the text adjacent to each switch and button… and I have to zoom back in, which defeats the purpose of having quick views set up.
For whatever reason, it randomly zooms out. What am I doing wrong?
If this helps, My default cockpit camera selection (Under General options) when I fly is “Wide Angle”.
Thanks much!

Under the Camera Controls options in the main options menu, do you have the zoom level set to anything other than the default 50? If you do, that’s okay.
Go ahead and set your desired new camera position you want to save, but before you save, open the in-game TOOLBAR up top of the screen, and open the camera settings. Set the zoom level to 50, and then you can save your custom camera, and it should work perfectly when you recall it.

I had my zoom set to 0 in main options menu. I adjusted it back to 50 and That fixed it. I tried leaving it at 0 and adjusting the zoom to 50 in the toolbar, but it kept defaulting back to Zoom 0. So Ill just leave the default set at 50. Thanks much for your time and reply. I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure this out before posting. Take care!
There used to be a bug on the zoom for custom cameras, perhaps they fixed it. They still act strange sometimes.

Hi there,
I folowed the post about zoom problems. My problem does not exist. Can you please assist and have a look at the video, please,
When I am in the WORLD MAP, I can’t zoom out to choose a place to strat my plane in. As you can see on the video, scrolling out result in a resitance of the scrolling, which I use my mouse for, When I hit the + or - button, it seems to work, however as soon as I hoover my mousepointer to the screen, leaving the + and or - It result in the system to zoom in in the lowest distance. Whatever I tried, it does not respong in a normal zoom behaviour. Could you please assist? THANKS and regards,
Ed
EDIT:
I can not attach anything atl all. So no video is attached
THANKS,
Ed
Worked perfectly for me. After I set my view the way I want it, I then change the zoom to 50. That completely screws up my view, but if I save it like that, then when I recall it, it’s perfect, just the way I set it up. Thanks, dude!
