I have had many sim freezes through using many various aircraft to the point where the sim just has sound but wouldn’t work meaning nothing would move , no indication of my plane on the map etc… The only way is to exit the task and start all over . However, after testing many possible culprits, I have found that setting your transponder to “ TA Only “ has for me solved these sim freeze issues . I know that also the PMDG has referenced this just recently and it seems to affect many aircraft. Through my testing , so far , it seems that this is the same issue with many aircraft thus causing the sim to freeze , my workaround was to set the transponder to TA only . I tested this on both PCs , and 2 Xbox series X. I can’t say this is the root cause but from countless hours of testing this seems to be the possible issue. Let me know your thoughts and tests about it if you’re one of the pilots coming across this issue .
