Setting up Saitek st290 pro

I know this is a relatively old device, but it still has “current” drivers and software on the website. MSFS 2020 doesn’t recognize it as a compatible device. Is there a way I can trick the game into recognizing it?

I’m having the same issue with this joystick. Previous flight simulators have recognized it just fine.
Are there instructions anywhere for setting this thing up?

The “control” panel shows the joystick as “Saitek st290 pro”. When I select sensitivity, the display responds to all of the joystick motions, so it appears the sim sees the joystick, but no joy when it’s time to fly, nor does the “control” panel show it in the box on the right side. It just keeps showing a grayed out joystick and question mark.

Sorry but need some help here as in a printed tutorial.

Also, the parking brake key board instructions say to release it, press “Control + Number Delete”.
Every keyboard I have has no “Number Delete”. Any ideas on these issues?

parking key is the decimal/dot key on numeric pad. Also note that key combinations (like shift+p for pushback) only work with left ctrl or shift key for some reason. I tried several times with right ctrl or shift key thinking the function was bugged.

See the filter? Click the right arrow so Assigned becomes All

I have to hit my Num Lock key while hitting my period key on the number pad to get mine to work, then have to hit it twice the next time to turn it back on in order to be able to select the combination again. I am going to program it to something else, since that’s a pain.

Thanks, I had the same issue, but now it’s not letting me assign anything with the joystick. I set up my yoke right away, but it acts like it doesn’t know what my joystick is, except that just like @DudeCommando I see an active response in the sensitivity tab for each axis of the joystick, but I can’t get it to assign anything to it like the ailerons or elevator.
