just noticed that my VR settings are back to ‘ultra’ every time I restart the sim. It doesn’t seem like a very common issue.. Ideas anyone?
I cannot confirm that. I frequently use VR mode—often while comparing different tools (such as OFXR or VectorXR)—and I frequently tinker with the settings during these sessions. Sometimes, I might launch the simulator more than ten times in a single session, each time using different VR parameters. The settings always remain exactly where I last left them.
If graphics settings change on their own, it is often due to software like the NVIDIA app (or similar tools from other manufacturers) that includes a feature designed to “optimize” graphics settings—especially if those settings are altered between simulator launches.
Good call Frank, I’ll check that tonight. It could be the Nvidia app is optimizing the sim every time I start it. On the other hand, on my system with a 4070ti I would not expect an optimization to all settings on ULTRA in VR.. But who knows. .might be the solution! Will advise.
