When I change any of my settings, the next time I log on, they are gone. Graphics, windowed mode, whatever- it is gone next time I open the program. The funny thing is, when I change the graphics settings, it says “You need to restart MSFS 2020 for changes to take place”, so I restart MSFS 2020 and it goes right back to the way it was. Endless circle. Is there a settings folder or something I can delete and start from scratch?
This sounds to me like you have a folder set to “read only” and your settings aren’t being saved. Someone with a better memory than me will give you a better answer, but I think it’s whatever folder your user config file is in. usercfg.opt I think it’s called? See if you can find that and see if the folder is read-only.
I ended up reinstalling MSFS2020 and it saves now. I switched computer cases and graphics card just before this happened. Not sure why a hardware change would cause this, but it works now, so I guess I will count my blessings.
