Shadows inexistant in exterior views

Hello all !
For some reasons, I don’t have any shadows in exterior view whether it’s from the plane itself, or the scenery/buildings.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
Cast shadows are inexistant on exterior view, from the plane on the ground, or the airport buildings.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

Yes.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Happening on external view, raytraced shadows off.
Shadows appearing back on drone mode.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

1. Load into the sim
2. Select daytime
3. Load on any runways

YOUR SETTINGS

Raytraced shadow seems to fix this issue, but at the cost of some performance.
Shadow maps, contact shadows and terrain shadows settings have no impact on fixing this bug.

• Same issue for me and this seems to only happen with streamed airplanes like the inibuilds A330, or Asobo 787. This does not occur with downloaded airplanes like the Fenix A320.

While I do have shadows in the exterior view, I find that they disappear during wet weather. Here is the 172 stopped on the runway with its engine off. My usual settings are high but saw no improvement going to Ultra. Looks like we are in a very old version of a flight simulator. Clearly a bug, and is a real immersion killer.

• shadows have no definition or shape, even setting it to 2048 or highest preset. only fix is if ray tracing is enabled, but that does only make the VRAM consumption worse.

• shadow quality also similar in cockpit, RayTracing doesn’t seem to resolve it. Some planes look good on both settings (on/off) and some just don’t. A350 has own shadow only with RT on, with RT off there is just artefacts. Picture is with RT off.

Only getting this on the A330-200, not the -300

Hello, sad to see no updates so far…Have to use RT shadows to have somewhat something, but loosing performance over this.
I don’t understand how such a thing has been overlooked during quality check (if there was ever quality checks for this sim), but also why it does take so long to fix.
