Shift+Z Stats

Hello Captain,

I fly with an HP reverb G2 (Always in VR) and used SHIFT-Z until it stopped working after one of the SU’s. I don’t remember which one. Do you still see SHIFT-Z stats in VR? Could you please tell me how?

On flightsim.to they explain that it no longer works in VR. I have reinstalled it and it works perfectly in 2D but it doesn’t in VR.

Thanks in advance
M.

If I exit vr and then return, I can regain control of it w my mouse. Not elegant but it’s a workaround for now…

Thanks, but it doesn’t work for me. It doesn’t matter if I exit and enter VR again, once or several times: The stats never appear. :face_exhaling:

I would try deleting the program files from community folder and downloading v1.1.4 and try again.

Since SU14, the True Airspeed readout is the same as the Airspeed readout, has the TAS parameter changed in some way? I’ve tried uninstalling Shift+Z Stats and re-installing but there’s no difference on PC with HDR monitor.

shift+Z does not display data (lat, long) after updating from windows 10 to 11. I downloaded the latest version and did all the windows 11 and game library updates. Does it need to be in a different directory for windows 11? Does the userconfig.ini file need to be changed?

I changed nothing. Works good here.

After you start the msfs does shift+Z cycle through the display options without any additional steps? On windows 11?

No. It starts with the display I have made in the .cfg file and the only thing that shows and leaves is the makers name.

I have no display options available on the screen.
It is in your community folder?
Do you have MSFS information displayed. You have to use one or the other. Are you missing just the location? Or other information?

Thanks Vernon006 for your suggestion. This is what I did to solve my problem:

  1. Use the file explorer to make the directory AppData visible. It starts as hidden with a new windows 11 installation.

  2. Move the directory ambitiouspilots-shiftzstats to AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community

  3. change userconfig as desired

Glad you got it fixed.

I used Shift+Z stats with my HP Reverb G2. It works great. Recently I got a Pimax Crystal Light. Shift+Z generates a white band in VR in cockpit mode (obviously…) pretty much over the windshield. It gets hard to see anything. It obviously shows up in all planes used. Can you fix this please, because the app is soo useful. Thank you.

I am happy that the first add-on I tried to use on MSFS 2024 was this one “Shift+Z Stats”
And it is working
I extracted the addon into the MSFS 24 community folder and run the simulator.. That’s great

Any chance you can get us a shift+Z stats updated for MSFS2024? I feel a bit lost without being able to look at the wind and game speed…

I tried using my existing MSFS2020 installation of it with AddonsLinker2024 but it doesn’t appear in MSFS2024.

Edit: I just found it in the sim. It’s in the in-game menu bar and I’m delighted to say that it works perfectly in MSFS2024!

*almost perfectly.

It works for me great in free flight. It doesn’t work/show in career mode for some reason.

It is not visible in 2020 VR mode. Headset Reverb G2 V2. Where is the problem? I had before Rift and it works perfect. Please help. In 2d it works well.

For me it doesn´t apear in VR on Quest 3 either :frowning:
ambitiouspilots-shiftzstats-v114_v87Kl.zip

It works for me, but i have to open it up in the toolbar first.

When I open it in 2D it still doesnt show in VR - and now I have discovered that having ZShift open (but invisible..) it causes a weird ghost panel to appear smeared across my field of view..

I thought the problem was with the ingame panel mod - but I just found out that they work fine as long as Zshift is NOT active! It´s a pity this is no longer usable - other FPS displays I have tried are always “floating” , following my head movements instead of being static in the cockpit.
