There is this weird ship artifact issue that is solved if you have Top Gun installed. See the linked bug. I wonder if there is any correlation here.
(@DementedCorn327 it might be worth looking into reopening this bug I’ve linked. Unless an actual fix has been incorporated into the base sim, the solution to install Top Gun is no longer going be viable once the license expires next month.)
