Short Haul A320 & 737NG route thread (real world). 1 hour or less. Share your favs

Hi crew

Flying short haul in the worlds two most popular passenger jetliners is challenging and a lot of fun. These things move so fast and the route is so short that you’ve barely completed the climb and have to start thinking about the descent & approach. You can get in a lot of takeoffs and landings

Do share your favorite short hauls on these two types of planes. We can discover new places to fly.

  1. Flight time of 1 hour or less
  2. Boeing 737NG/MAX or Airbus A320ceo/neo only

I’ll start with my region

A320neo, 40 minutes, WSSS-WIBB

//

737-800, 35 minutes,VGHS-VGCB

//

A320neo, 52 minutes, RPLL-RPVI

Look forward to seeing short jet hops from your country or region :slight_smile:

United, Delta and Spirit fly KLAX-KSAN.
KLAX-KSFO would be a slightly longer but popular option.

Adelaide YPAD to Melbourne YMML, 58 minutes in the air. Note the 30 minute timezone difference.

You can take a 737-800 as Qantas or Virgin Australia (best selected if you’re 40 minutes late taking off :wink:) or an A320 as Jetstar.

Or Melbourne to Hobart YMHB in 56 minutes with a Jetstar A321.

Melbourne to Canberra YSCB in 43 minutes on a Virgin Australia 737-800.

I don’t think we can get one for MSFS yet but Qantas are flying a 717 from Canberra to Sydney in 32 minutes.

JetBlue has a short flight from KROC to KJFK I fly daily on the route with the FBW a320

Before Southwest Airlines was in Rochester you had to drive all the way to Buffalo NY to get a southwest flight to Orlando so the original southwest upstate NY route was Buffalo to Orlando

KDCA (DC) to KRDU (Raleigh) is 70 minutes gate-to-gate. I’ve taken this flight many times, usually on a CRJ or E170.

You can also go from Vienna to Bratislava (very close) or Budapest, but those are normally flown with smaller planes.
