Short SC7 Skyvan: Engine #1 not working, L Fuel Pump drains tanks instantly

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Engine #1 shuts off immediately after spawning the aircraft, stays inoperable.
Left Fuel Pump drains any tank it is connected to within seconds.

1. Spawn aircraft, no matter if on ground or airborne
2. Observe fuel flow at 0 for engine #1, engine shutting down, content of tank connected to left fuel pump draining immediately

It is not disabled for me. I purchased the Aviator Edition upgrade once the Marketplace went live, never even opened the My Library dialogue, let alone made any changes - the Skyvan was available to me by default. I found it in the same defective state as others have since at least 15th December of 2024, maybe earlier (see comments in the forum).

Regardless of that, this bug report is nevertheless valid until the issues are resolved.

Unfortunately, it appears Microsoft/Inibuilds have abandoned this aircraft when it comes to MSFS 2024. I have the same issue with the port fuel tank immediately draining when you turn on the fuel pump. I’m bummed because I really liked the Skyvan and now it’s unusable.

Unfortunately, it appears Microsoft/Inibuilds have abandoned this aircraft when it comes to MSFS 2024.

As far as I’m concerned, Microsoft/Asobo/inibuilds abandoning the Skyvan and the other aircraft from the Aviator Edition is not an option.

Like many others, I didn’t get those aircraft grandfathered in from an earlier installation as freebies, no - I did not have MSFS 2020 and specifically bought MSFS 2024 Aviator Edition for those aircraft. On the product page they were listed as included, without a “not actually working, for decorative purposes only” disclaimer.

From a consumer rights perspective, intentionally advertising and selling a product with content which isn’t fit for purpose (like a Flight Simulator including aircraft that cannot take off!) is a textbook case of consumer deception and might even qualify as consumer fraud, depending on the laws of your country.

Personally, I’m extremely annoyed by now, but willing to give them a few more months to get their act together. Should the Skyvan and the other unusable Aviator Edition aircraft still not be fixed by then, I’ll be filling a formal complaint with my country’s consumer rights protection agency - and I would highly recommend you do the same!

If enough people file complaints, each of our local agencies are forced to launch investigations. → Keeping Microsoft’s legal department occupied with responding to a constant stream of formal investigations costs them money. At some point the tipping point will be reached at which it’s financially cheaper to resolve the issues that warrant the complaints. They might not care about satisfying customers, but they do care about losing money.)

After opening the left fuel valve , the fuel instantly drains from the left tank. Making the engine unstartable.

The Skyvan has been broken since 2024 was released.
It’s been commented on multiple times, and just gets ignored, similar to issues with the Zlin Savage Ultra. There is obviously no QA going on.

• Yes, it is easy to reproduce, you can spawn on the runway and see that the left fuel tank is rapidly emptied, even if you refuel it – when you first spawn in you can get maybe 20 seconds of engine power and then it runs out of fuel and dies
