I get extreme CPU bottlenecks with tuned settings. Like when I am tuning, my FPS go crazy. This all is in MSFS 2024
Your cpu is fine. I don’t know the rest of your hardware, but the cpu is adequate. Could it be upgraded? Sure. But it should be able to give you solid performance.
Know that “fps going crazy” could be your rig running out of vram. So it’s not always necessarily cpu solely causing the problem. Also be wary of products labelled “2024 Compatible” – sometimes yes, they were run thru the 2024 SDK, but they still have 2020 models (with no LOD’s) and that destroys your vram, causing the “fps going crazy” as you mention.
The problem is the add-ons as I mention but also there seems to be a bug in the way '24 is handling vram, probably related to high vram usage in DX12 mode in MSFS2020 also. I believe Asobo are working on this all the time, and not sure if vram fixes will roll out in SU3 or SU4.

We need data.
- Screenshot all your sim graphics settings.
- Screenshot the Dev Mode FPS counter when your FPS “goes crazy.”
Also,
- Have you updated your BIOS and your chipset drivers? (From the motherboard support section.)
- Do you have XMP or EXPO (depending on what is supported in BIOS) turned on?
- Are you overclocking the CPU? If so, set everything (except XMP/EXPO) back to defaults.
