Shut down of avionics, not only on A320

The well known bug of avionics that are randomly shuting down, without possibility to wake them up again on the A32N, also appear on the official content (payware) M20R Ovation.

It seems, so, that this bug is not really A320 specific but is probably comming from a more global error…

Anyone to confirm I’m not the only one with this problem ?

Yes. It’s been known since the last update. The biggest issue here is how much people were reporting a total failure of avionics in most aircraft, and for some reason Asobo only heard “A320 avionics shut down” instead of “every single plane with a g1000 or similar AND the A320 has avionics shutting down on their own”.

set both AI and player aircraft to ‘generic’ plane models in the settings. Should fix it.

Also, the M20R is swaying left and right on HDG mode, since the 29.09.20 update… (here again, as reported for the A320…)

That may work with the A320 (which I don’t fly, so I can’t comment on), but does nothing for the C172 G1000. Even with nothing else in the sky other than myself, switches are randomly activating and my MFD keeps shutting down. Or my screen brightness keeps being reset to the lowest setting just randomly for no reason.

happens to me regularly, even on TMB930.

yes was approaching ENVA in A320 after 2.5 hrs from Heathrow and for no reason. Every single panel went black, engines stopped, no sound. Aircraft continued to glide with joystick control to crash on runway. had plenty of fuel and it did it for no apparent reason but arrival airport was getting closer.

For me, the panels /avionics are still there but the AP switch will just suddenly turn off..

In addition, the User Interface for switches and knobs is horrible. The little “LED” that indicates a function being on is very hard to see in a normal zoomed 3D cockpit (boy I miss 2d cockpits but that’s another story!!) and the sensitivity of trying to position mouse on a knob is ridiculous- almost impossible in mild turbulence.

Literally happened to me moments ago in A320. I even had the latest A32NX mod (latest as of 2 hours ago) on. Never had that happen to me before. It happened just after takeoff from Frankfurt am Main, and I got a video of it:

identical to what happened to me. although i would have had some survivors. you also took out a residential area. good that you have the video. PS I also had the same mod

Same here. Random shutdown of avionics and AP. Happend on A320, King Air, Bonanza G36 etc. Happend the first time just after downloading the Update/ Japan World Update…
Thanks

Ovation avionics shutdown when i am flying IFR. Then I get a message in a red outlined box that the radio is shut off and to turn it on. Avionics switch is on… Avionics turning off is really bad as most of the fall weather is IFR travel in the midwest and eastern U.S.

I am having exactly the same problems…Rt side screen shuts down…then after a while it will come back up with the Garmin screen, you can then hit the button in the lower right to turn it back on.

The G1000 screens will just go dark randomly … I then have to turn the knobs to off and back on and they are bright for a bit… but then it happens again and again.

And today for the first time my TrackIR view went crazy and flipped me around to where I was staring at the seat. I kept resetting the views, sometimes it helped others it didn’t.

Then for the finale, poof … I was looking at the desktop. The game disappeared. I didn’t have the game crashing problems before the last update.

Carenado M20R, 2 hours into flight around Japan this morning & Avionics shut down.

Carenado, huh? Wow- I guess I shouldn’t complain. I get to have all my planes work terribly for free!

Hey man, I have the same problem, and it doesn`t even last for 2 hours, did you manage how to fix it?

This is for a Joystick
Go into the MSFS to Set Scenario
Hit Controls in Options
Bring up Joystick
Click on Sensitivity
That should bring up the 3 axis & throttle.
Set Null Point for the 3 axis & throttle to 5%
That worked for me.
I read somewhere that Zero Null point was causing electronic chatter interfering with the Avionics switching. Something like that.
Good luck.

Will try! thanks a lot!
