It is plugged in directly and I tried multiple ports, also it is just with XPforce active in the sim it does it. I will try to repair again but did it once.
I think I found the main culprit! I got vJoy installed for the Honeycomb Bravo trim wheel and it seems like any time vJoy is active at all it interfers with XPforce. Making the joystick disconnect from XPforce when some of the forces gets pushed.
Ah, bingo!
Can you solve it?
Hello,
How to point XPForces to the 2024 launcher?
Thanks,
We have a lot of threads about XPForce and not much activity in each. I think I will compile a list of them and ask the Mods to merge them but they have more important things to battle at the moment.
Anyway seeing as there has been no comment about this question and how to make it work in 2024, I guess it is looking like a āno goā. This is a big problem for me.
Does anyone know of ANY alternative even if itās not as good. Just ANYTHING that will kind-of-sort-of work?
Or maybe there is a way to hack XPForce to repoint to SimConnect in 2024?
SimFFB is a free one on GitHub but guessing it also needs to know about FS2024. And looks like last update is from 2020 so doubt it will work or what itās even like in FS20.
We are stuck I think folks!!! ![]()
EDIT: a friend of mine has a new Moza AB9 and that works in 2024 already, so there is that. Expensive though!!
EDIT 2: out of desperation, I wonder if itās worth trying to add the path to the XPF app into the exe.xml in 2024 root folder and see if it works that way around too? Iām not on my PC until Monday to try though. Maybe it would work?
Have you tried this ?
No!!! I didnāt see that!! If that works you had better get your defences ready to block several sloppy kisses coming your way from me!!!
Will test on Monday!
It seems to work, although I find the force feedback a little weak.
for me it works like in 2020, ie imperfectly but it works!! thanks!!
Yes, also works for me with the olā FFB2 joystick in MSFS2024!!!
Runway rumble is neat.
Hey @Baracus250 , are you able to use Helicopters with FFB in MSFS2024?
What sorts of settings are you using:
Do you have alternative trim on?
Is XPforce Autotrim/reset working for you?
For me choppers in MSFS2024 are all behaving strangely with FFB (all I get is a gigantic centered force), and autotrim never worked even in DCS on the apache (where it would violently set the stick of my Logitech G940 in incorrect position, and reset wouldnāt fix it).
Also, do you know if XPForce requires default sensitivity on all the axis? (i.e. straight lines)
Yes I am. They feel the same as in 2020 with the same profile loaded to me.
Iām not sure without looking but I think itās unticked for the main helicopters I fly.
Iāve never used it that way anyway. I just set a very low centering and exaggeration. And quite a low overall friction. So I donāt really bother with the in-aircraft trim as itās just as easy to hold the stick wherever.
Not tried on the Airbus Hxxxās in 24 yet - as there you probably do want to take advantage of the various trims / release but I guess it would work the same.
Donāt know if it ārequiresā linear curves but I tuned mine down to be a bit softer around the centre anyway. -30% I think from memory but could be less.
@Baracus250 thank you so much!
I saw that Asobo added a new āhelicopter force trim release buttonā⦠so if I canāt dial in FFB for choppers, Iāll turn FFB off and try using that (it lets you set the trim at the current position of the stick when the button is pressed, and then you bring the stick back to center and release the button).
Thank you so much, this setting is a lifesaver!!! Iāve been struggling for three days after trying to set up the force feedback yoke with an FFB2 of VR Flightsim in XP Force !
Finally, the reactions are correct!
Thanks and happy holidays!!! ![]()
