How do I take a screenshot?

Nothing complicated with cameras and configuring, or Print Screen blah blah, just a plain old screenshot.

In FSX, P3D’s and all the rest there is a screenshot button, default is “V”. Is there a default setting that can be used to take screenshots??

Depends if you’re Seam or Microsoft Store. You have 2 other options: Snipping tool and print screen key.

yeah Steam would be F12, I’m on the Microsoft store version. I tried earlier to use print screen and could not alt/tab out to paste it to paint.

How do I access my snipping tool from within the app, is there a shortcut?

On my system it’s Win key+alt+ print screen keys.

Windows: Alt + print screen
Windows Game Bar: Windows key + Alt + print screen
NVidia Gaming experience: Alt+F1

Unless you have disabled game bar you should have it installed by default.
You will get your screenshots in different locations these depending on which shortcut you use.

Yeah I have game bar disabled and don’t use Nvidia Experience, don’t even install it when I change my drivers.

I do have a Cyberlink screen recorder app but it doesn’t have a screen shot option…

Anyways, I used the alt-print screen and it worked, I also forgot completely about the windows key as I had it disabled on my keyboard as well… lol, BUT I re-enabled it so now I can access my snip and sketch, so I have both of those options.

Win Key + Print Screen saves pictures sequentially in your Pictures/Screenshots folder.

This is the method I’ve been using. With 4K it usually spits out a 10-15MB .png.
