Sim crashes to desktop when using DLSS Frame Generation and popping avionics to another display

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: Popping out avionics to other displays while running DLSS Frame Generation causes sim to crash to desktop. Only fix is to either not run DLSS Frame Generation or to roll back the DLSS Frame Generation file to version 3.8.1. That version is 5 versions old but works. Graphics card is Nvidia RTX 5070TI.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? Every time.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Load sim with DLSS Frame Generation enabled on 5000 series GPU and an empty community folder.

  2. Right alt click a G1000 panel to pop avionics screen out to another monitor

  3. Sim will crash.

  4. Replace DLSS frame gen file with version 3.8.1 (older than the sim even comes with) and repeat above steps. Popouts will work fine with frame gen running but this is an old version of frame then that also does not support x3 and x4 frame gen.

Cannot replicate with a RTX2060 (591.74).
Using DLSS 310.5.2.0, no crash when undocking a G1000 screen:

Hopefully 5000 series users will provide their feedback.

Yeah its specific to the DLSS Frame Generation feature not the scaling feature. I also did not have this problem when using the Frame Gen mod on my 3090 because while it used the dlss frame gen setting in the sim it was really doing FSR frame gen. This is specifically native DLSS Frame Generation on my 5070ti. I run TAA for the other setting.

Update: Installed Nvidia Driver 595.79 today that released on Mar 10 2026 and now this problem seems to be fixed. Hopefully it stays fixed

I have this issue with my 3080ti, using DLSS enabler. I will try to use a older dlss dll as you suggested.
