The Sim is not loading properly tonight (August 15, 2024, 9:30PM pacific).
The terrain, autogens, etc. are off and don’t load properly. Tried restarting several times and nothing changes. I use the Sim frequently and around 15 hours already this week. Everything was fine last night. The issue started today. Hope it gets addressed.

nope - it is the latest win update. Just start the computer again and everything should be fine
im updated and restarted pc plenty of times… same issue, cant get into flight deck..

I think I am affected by the same issue as the OP. I have done integrity check and reinstalled all official packages and dropped the sim to vanilla state without WUs, community, etc. I have also tried on my 2nd computer and I see exactly the same problem on both computers. It seems to have started around the time that KB5041585 installed itself on my computers. Is there any way the Windows Update caused this problem?

Just found a thread where more users are reporting this problem.
I dont think its the windows update. I updated windows earlier this week and the sim running great until today

Well look at that! I uninstalled the latest windows update and it loaded on up…im in the flight deck as norm now

I don’t think Windows update is the issue as it was working fine last night and after the latest windows update on my system! My Sim loads up fine, but the terrain and autogens don’t load up properly! Something is wrong with their servers, unfortunately! This issue will probably get worse with MSFS 2024 as there will be even more stuff on the server 
Updates: The issue has nothing to do with latest Windows updates as I uninstalled them and the issue did not get resolved. So don’t fall for that fix.

Here we go. We’re back to morphing tiles. Pretty big ones this time. This is after taking off from Kushiro.
How can they even focus on MSFS24 with this many issues in 20?

I can also confirm I cannot load a flight after choosing airport. Something’s gridlocked. Don’t tell me they’ve got another server down again? This is REALLY getting annoying…

Just had a flight across the peak district and very slow to display scenery, tiling of aerials etc.
I don’t think it necessarily;y relates to windows update as it was fine all day yesterday after the update, with the PC switched on/off numerous times throughout the day.

I’m aware of users reporting tiling aerials and issues with loading terrain. Can those of you still experiencing issues please give further details and provide screenshots if able so that I can escalate it as soon as possible.

Wow logged on this morning and i cant start a flight either i thought i had done something as everythiong was working fine yesterday
Same here, launched the sim but can’t load the flight, the progress bar was stuck at around 90%. It can’t load in no matter what.
Having the same problem. Select aircraft, select airport, click fly. Then the system locks up. Task manager shows Flightsimulator.exe at 0% activity. Restarted and tried again. Very slow load after fly but it eventually loaded at the runway. LIve weather appears to be dead. The next flight load saw a CTD.
MSFS occasionally locks up when loading a flight anway. Usually a 2nd try sees it works after restarting. I also find removing a folder or 2 from your community folder often helps.

Last Windows update was 2 days ago and MSFS has been running normal since then, until now. So don’t think Windows update is the cause.
