Sim Rate can't be brought back to 1x (remains in between)

Yes but no changes

No (not related)

Brief description of the issue:

By accident sim rate increased (or a glitch). When trying to bring it back to 1x with the assigned keyboard keys, it never gets back to the exact 1x. Although we do not have (strangely) any indicator to tell us what sim rate we are at, I used an analog clock in one of my aircraft to evaluate at what rate I was. In fact, I could never get the seconds to tick at the rate of real seconds… They are slightly slower or faster… This means once the sim rate is increased (or perhaps decreased), on purpose or by accident (or a glitch), we can never revert back to the real 1x.

As stated in this Forum before, click back to decrease the Sim Rate to zero and then increase the Sim Rate 2 times to set it to normal.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Done that but the normal has a slight increase as far as I noticed.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

it happened since the avionics update. Leaving the beta solved this issue but now the first avionics update has been released and now this bug returned.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

the clock in any plane needs 13 irl seconds to count to 10 in game.

I wish they would include some way of know what the sim rate is set to. It seems crazy to use some round about method like seeing what rate the exterior strobe light is flashing at.

Yes, I agree but I found on flightsim.to this tool:

SIM RATE SELECTOR » Microsoft Flight Simulator

You can also see it in good old trusty SHIFT-Z Stats.

What Shift - Z?

I have no connection other than a long-time satisfied user.
From the Avsim forums (it’s available from flightsim.to):

"Hi folks,

Another excellent mod !
Grab it here

From the developer:

“Shift+Z Stats” brings back the classic compact flight statistics know from FSX and earlier titles of Microsoft Flight Simulator.

A very handy tool that shows you information like:

  • Coordinates
  • Wind speed and direction
  • Airspeed
  • Altitude
  • Heading
  • Fuel remaining
  • FPS (Frames per second)
  • Simulation rate

No matter if you’re flying a Piper Cub, an Airbus A320 or any other aircraft, “Shift+Z Stats” comes in handy any time. "
