1.7.32.0 — unfortunately still avionics resets/reboots… So… no progress from my point of view. Still no enjoyable flying on PS5.

Dear Asobo: Just take a Cessna Longitude (a prominent example with of reboots) for a ride - and come back if you got it stable to not reboot anymore. I am tired of coming back to tell, that the freshest beta did not make any progress in avionics stability after i tested it. The PS5 is a very uniform hardware family - fairly easy to test

Hey folks,

The Development Team are asking for some further information from those of you who are still experiencing issues with avionics turning off and on.

When this specific issue is occurring, do you also get any particular on screen warning messages such as: “Memory resources are getting low, disabling avionics to grant stability”

Any other clarifying information is always helpful for the team to review!

No, generally no warning whatsoever. Screen just either goes dark entirely or we get a sudden crash of PFD or MFD or the lower MFD in PC 24/12.
Often, if it does not just go dark, there is a red crossed out turh coordinator on PFD with an AHRS aligning message, the Speed tape goes red and the Altitude tape goes red. OAT is crossed out too.

The only thing I ever see is a brief red flash of the ALERT softkey bottom right of G1000.




Looks like they are struggling to find a cause. I don’t think I encountered this glass cockpit bug until after SU4 and the PS5 launch. I can’t recall if it was before or inbetween the SU4 and PS5 launch or only after the SU4 launch but I do know it afects all machines PS5, PC and XBox.

Hi,

The Longitude is a stock airplane - it should be very easy to recreate the issues that the PS5 users are seeing rather than just asking them to test agsin and agsin and report back to you.

Is there any good reason you’re unable to fire up a COTS PS5 with the devs and see for yourselves? It seems to me it would be the most effective way forward here…

So far 1.7.32.0 is a big NO :-1:t4:

Stability & Performance

1.7.30.0 was much better at handling textures than 1.7.32.0.

  • The new PS5 Beta versions produces stuttering frames when panning your camera left to right.

  • This build has degraded textures that will remain inside the cockpit as seen here:

  • The loading of scenery whilst panning left and right from the cockpit is slower to load when using a mouse compared to using the PS5 controller.

  • The world map on the main menu has developed a slower reaction time weirdly compared to 1.7.30.0

  • Avionics still reset

On the up still no memory warnings but then again on 1.7.30 I only ever obtained 1 memory issue.

Career mode

  • Unable to find a night time flight either starting or ending in a night time cycle earliest has been around 6am latest is 8pm

Audio

  • Issue rectified no problems here

Weather

  • Works for me on 3rd party aircraft and base aircraft

Me personally I had no issues with 1.7.30.0 textures and I highly recommend returning to that specific resolution for the time being until something else can be explored.

C152 with live weather and traffic around Brisbane and then a night flight from KPVD to KFRG.

Today I flew first from CYYJ down to KRNT and then KSFO over to KMOD.

I thought clouds/weather looked great around Brisbane and pretty good on the CYYJ-KRNT flight but clouds/weather were not as good on the KSFO-KMOD flight and I don’t think the PG was as good as it has been at any place I flew.

I hope this isnt the release version. stutters and slow loading scenery.

The stutters are very close to being ironed out honestly, let’s keep pushing dev team! :partying_face:

If we could a final beta update, that fixes the avionics resets/realignments/etc. that would be great. Then I would be very happy.

Hopefully they can fix the issue with the coding for the avionics, I know 3rd party products have been having issues with getting maps to work on their EFB for playstation due to the coding.

Since 1.7.32.0 on PS5 the ATC is not working right. Flight EDDB > MMMX
After 20min ATC is sending me to Mexico radar but i´m still in germany?!

Long flight result (12,5h): ATC is creating extremely stuttering by choosing a communication button. 2 times stucked ATC in repeating of one sentence. Like “climb flightlevel 13000”. It didnt stop. I think ATC is working very unclean in the background and let sometimes stop the simulation for a few seconds. Weather from ATC is also not right. in EFB microsoft: wind 230 9kt / QNH: 3020 but ATC is saying wind 210 6kt / QNH: 3014. …there is so much more…one bug after bug…at the airport, on A330-200…Weather radar…i could write a whole page of it. Performance was at the beginning acceptable. Just ATC communication is starting random stuttering. I had no avionics issue even after send flightplan to atc. But my destination airport EDDB is not a handcrafted premium airport. So on these airports the performance can be still worse. From performance side, slow steps forward. From view to the other problems still present or worse. Specially ATC. I mean ATC was never really good yet…but since beta of SU5, it feels worse and sensitive for bugs

Other situation, 130nm before destination, ATC gave me suddenly final clearance for landing on runway

Can confirm on PS5… ATC works very bad right now and causes stuttering, if a flightplan is filed,… this needs also be fixed alongside the avionics issues. Atc pulls down the performamce.

Can we get a menu to completely disable atc (apart from groundservices like boarding start and baggage loading)?
