RELEASE NOTES Sim Update 5 - BETA 2 - 1.7.7

If you are playing on PC, outdated packages in your community folder may have an unexpected impact on the title’s performance and behavior.

If you suffer from stability issues or long loading times, move your community package(s) to another folder before relaunching the title.

New Content and Features

  • Added sim rate under minimap

General Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where the time does not advance while the weather panel is opened.

  • Fixed several options not being properly reset in the “Effects and Animation” category of the settings

Install, Performance & Graphics

  • Added a pop-up while changing language.

  • Temporary fix for visual glitch on AMD Radeon RX 9xxx due to badly read exposure in divergent code path.

Aircraft

  • Fixed an issue causing the GNS430/530 SimAttachments to have their Zoom/Dezoom buttons inverted.

Cessna 172 Skyhawk

  • Added C172 classic variants equipped with an Avidyne IFD550/540 rather than the GNS530/430.

Aircraft Core Systems

Failure / Wear & Tear

  • Added a way to indicate the speed level at which gears take damage when immersed in water.

Pneumatic & ECS System

  • Added simvar PNEUMATICS_ENGINE_BLEED_AIR_PRESSURE_EX1 that actually gives the bleed air exiting from the engine, whereas PNEUMATICS_ENGINE_BLEED_AIR_PRESSURE gave the pressure of the air inside of the engine.

Career

General Bug Fixes

  • Added a fallback if aircraft crashes when spawning on parking

  • Fixed the flightplan in familiarization flight not displaying its first leg

  • Fixed the taxi ribbon on the runway sometimes displaying an unrequired U-turn

Airports

Generic Airports

  • Fixed helipads on ground colliding with buildings and vegetation

Virtual Reality

  • Added an option to disable the HUD while in cockpit view specifically in Virtual Reality

  • Added a shortcut in the bottom bar to indicate how to switch to VR when a headset is detected on the main page

  • The cockpit tooltip cards are now closer to the currently hovered element in Virtual Reality

  • Fixed a bug where virtual reality pre-set option was not correctly loaded after a game’s reboot.

Peripherals

  • Added new native support for peripherals

Various Peripheral Fixes

  • Fixed a conflict with leaving cockpit interactions on gamepads would also decrease throttle by 1%

DevMode

  • Removed “Debug SoundTracks” tool from public builds (showing CRCs in this configuration made the tool useless)

  • Fixed some debug not correctly reset when closing the devmode

General

  • Fixed a possible crash when using long names in UserLight Tool

  • Added new package validator rules at build and export

Scenery Editor

  • Improved rectangle heightmap edition:
  • The heightmap button automatically enable the terraforming

  • More grid display option

  • Independent brush strength

  • Weaker inflate brush

  • Added material name in the decal name

SimObject Editor

  • Fixed empty aicraft.cfg file created on save

  • Added prop_mod_version field

SDK

  • Added Avidyne IFD540 and IFD550 sim attachments for use by aircraft developers.

WASM API

  • Fixed approximation error when spawning vfx in world

Small note: Thank you all for the feedback and reports so far! Any new regressions tagged wtih feedback-logged or bug-logged is under active investigation. Issues like the autogen buildings with no windows, Tobii eyetracker tilt, etc. are being worked on.
