Sim Update VI not downloading and forced into offline mode

Brief description of the issue:
Start MSFS and make it to checking for updates then get shoved into offline mode, attempting to sign out and go back in causes a CTD

Detail steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
Try to get into the game
PC specs and/or peripheral set up of relevant:
{Series X specs}
Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:
Most recent, tried a fresh install and still getting the problem

Best guess is the servers are receiving a hug of death, Should really do updates through the store devs

Servers are down all over, try again in awhile…

Same here in USA. Microsoft is useless. Every time there is a sim update Microsoft screws up somehow. Increadible.

I don’t blame Asobo for this one. Microsoft Corporation is the problem here.

Sever down in Australia. have to say I’m getting sick of these update issues. I tried to follow the how to update advice and still have to do a complete install again. Which with my internet connection takes 2 days. Time they fix this f–k up of a install for all

why does every update need to be MANDATORY?

I literally spent 3 weeks trying to get my sim to work after the last update (was stuck looping download), had it working for ONE DAY, then get another update forced on me which again makes the sim unplayable.

Its good that they are trying to fix the game, but I have spent significantly more time (trying to) download updates than I have playing the game, its frustrating.

I have problems every single time there is an update. But not just the same problem. I’ve literally had at least 12 different problems with the last few updates. Even had to completely re-install. How can something that hasn’t caused me a problem in any other game or software for years be this messed up?!

Yes Same problem here, I agree, I dread to see a new update, almost always have issues. I guess I will have to try again tomorrow night.

+1 here. MSFS says it’s offline, and I can’t update or do much of anything.
