The trick of choosing a parking spot from the drop down menu does not work any more since the latest hotfix, unfortunately. So, now if you import a simbrief flight plan into tthe MSFS 2020 world map, and select any parking spot (no matter from the drop down menu or not) MSFS will modify the flight plan (most of the time at least). This never happened before the latest hotfix!
So, what do you do then?
Nothing can be done atm, I think. But that’s only as far as I know, usually someone on the forums will come up with a work around…
That’s odd, mine doesn’t.
I use it at least once a day.
So is this the reason for my craziness going on with the waypoints etc?
It doesn’t always happen. But try the attached flightplan created with SimBrief.
KJANKMEM_MFS_06Jan22.pln (3.9 KB)
Thats what I always do, and I get these crazy waypoints etc.
Why is there 2 and what is the difference?
The first one is as loaded, plane on the runway. Second one is I used the dropdown menu to move the plane to a parking spot!
One is the plan from simbrief, the other what MSFS turned it into.
I’m trying to see if I can replicate it right now.
So is a FBW thing, a Simbrief thing, or MSFS2020? And when you say selected spot are you talking about the destination?
When I referred to selected spot, I meant the point at your departure airport where the aircraft spawns.
Still testing.
Well, I duplicated exactly your results in loading.
I then went back to simbrief, and created my own plan between them.
It gave me DCT SQS J35 MEM DCT
When I selected the starting point, the sim added an arrival route in my case Vanze27
even though I had specified 36C in simbrief.
That might give some clue to what is going on.
So its a MSFS thing?
And in my case it prolly added a SID, correct? Is there a way to remove the added STAR/CID/approach in MSFS or inside the aircraft (G1000 for example)?
I suspect there is, but I normally fly the big jets, so I’m not going to be much help in that one.
I can tell you how to do it in those!!
When I do fly smaller, it’s normally VFR.
It is probably done in the Garmin
I don’t think SimBrief ever gets updated.
The navdata in it does, monthly
So I assume this is a MSFS thing?
Only for Navigraph users. The free user gets older data.
