Simconnect not found when connecting Foreflight using Flight Events

When I attempt to connect my foreflight app to MSFS 2020 using flight events I get a warning saying Needed Component is missing (see screenshot below).

Has anyone else had this issue?

I am using this EUR 5 add-on to connect MSFS with ForeFlight.
