Simple change to make checklists compatible with head tracking

Right now, if you use head tracking like TrackIR and want to use the built-in checklists to familiarize yourself with an aircraft, its very inconvenient. The reason is the “eye” button on the checklist items, while very useful in highlighting the switch/button/leverl, also changes the camera which is supposed to be controlled only by the headtracking. Not only it requires the user to reset the camera back to the default cockpit view, but also ruins the immersion since I am using the headtracker to feel like I am in the cockpit and move my head around, not having my head moved around for me.

The simple solution is to make a setting in Accessibility or Camera options to not change the camera whilst using the checklist, just highlight the control and keep showing the icon in the periphery of the screen if the control is not currently visible.

Oh yes. That would be extremly helpful.

I am curious why nobody else think this is relevant. How do you guys work with checklists in sim while using head tracking? Am I missing something?
