Hi All,
I have a knobster and use the knobsFX program that comes with it. The menu shows up in the inflight top of screen menu and I can program it and use it. BUT. it will only change things in sim when the menu is on the screen which breaks the immersion somewhat.
Is this normal or is there a setting I have to change. I want to set the knobster for 1 action and then use it without getting the mouse, activating the top menu.
Thanks
Josh
I haven’t tried Knobster other than in VR. For me, I can just put the menu off to the side though, so it’s out of sight. Can you try minimizing it, and then moving the header into a corner? Is KnobsFX different than KnobFS? That is the one specifically for MSFS that I’m aware of. If so, definitely ask in the forums, as they are really helpful for set up and use, and even take requests for their beta versions.

Hi, thanks. Sorry yes meant FS. My bad. Will ask the forums you suggest. thanks

Do you have a particular reason to be using the knobster with KnobFS rather than it’s primary use which is with Air Manager?
Knobster should work without the window open once you have selected the function (open window select what you want the knobster to do then close the window). Haven’t used mine in over a month because I keep forgetting to download the KnobFS app since rebuilding my PC.
Hi.
Just saw it came with FS so thought that was the best way to use it.

Thanks. Will give it another go and see what happens.

Came with, How exactly? Mine came in a box with the knobster and usb cable and that’s it. KnobFS is just a download AFAIK. Never used it myself just always with its primary use application Air Manager. KnobFS is generally a VR thing if that’s your thing.
HI
Yes a download and yes nearly always VR.

I was looking into this as well, to avoid the menu thing, more seamless, i think one way would be to use spad and program things, somehow
