Simple Side Stick Mount (DIY)

Just wanted to share a simple DIY Side Stick Mount I had my neighbor whip up for me.

Oak board, cut a bit wider then the chair arm rest, notched for Velcro straps to secure to chair and then holes drilled into the bottom to secure the stick.

The Arm rest on my chair adjusts up and down, inward and outward as well as back and forth so it was easy to put it in a comfortable spot.

Removes from the chair quick and easily and can remove the stick and leave board mounted to use as a writing / note surface.

There is someone on Etsy who sells something similar made out of Pine, but being in Canada (and him in the US it was gong to cost over $100CAD for the product and shipping.

This cost $23 for the board (Oak) and $5 for the Velcro.

I spy a set of CH Products pedals. I bought mine long enough ago that I can’t remember exactly when, but sometime in the mid to late 90s. I had to replace one brake pot. They still work great.

Doing a bit of necromancy here.

What a great idea! I’ve been hunting for mount solutions for a while, but could not find anything that fit my chair, and the desk mounts don’t really work for me in this configuration either.

So I ordered a 12” x 16” block of half inch HDPE, and will cut it down the middle with a similar curvature so it becomes two pieces that can be mounted on each arm.

Others might see this now too and decide to go the same route
