Anyone else still having issues with SimToolKitPro and the “Live Map”? I can see my aircraft (in fact sometimes I see 2 of me (One on STKP and one on VatSim not in sync). What I am experiencing is the Live Map is still very sluggish when zooming the map in/out or when selecting what to show/hide from the menus at the top right of the screen. I am running the latest version 0.6.30 and have installed the latest SimConnect via the button in the Settings screen. I am running it on the same machine as FS2020 on a second monitor. I know there were some issues recently until the patch by Asobo and I have that installed also. I do not experience any sluggishness on any other tracking apps (LittleNavMap, FltPlan Go). I’ve tried searching around for others who have issues with the map but have come up empty.
I have been trying out STKP and saw your post on the live map and thought I would tag on a couple questions that maybe someone could answer:
#1 is their a way to get the live map to scroll as your aircraft moves across the map? I’m connected to my sim and it’s tracking my aircraft but once it flys off the map I have to keep scrolling the map to find it again.
#2 how can you add the MSFS airports to the map? I have the layer turned on but nothing shows up. Under settings, I tried setting the path to the location of my install but when I have it search for scenery, it just says loading… and nothing ever happens.
Sorry for hijacking your question with more but I like the app but can’t seem to figure these things out!
#1 There’s a menu at the top of the map labelled ‘Controls’, if you click that you can select an option called ‘Follow Me’; if it’s ticked the map should remain centered on your aircraft (although as mentioned above, it’s a little laggy right now!)
#2 I think the reading of MSFS scenery is also slightly bugged at the moment; mine also just hangs on the ‘loading’ screen
With regard to #1, I will look again but I don’t recall seeing anything that said “follow me” as I poked around in every menu I could find to look for something like this…but I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed!
