Simworks Kodiak su10

Now that SU10 is released I looked at the default planes with the G1000and it appears they have been updated to the G1000NXI. However, it does not appear that the Simworks Kodiak got updated. Do I need to do a manual install for payware planes which have the stock G1000. I looked in the market place and the description indicates that the G1000NXI product is a beta. If I need to install it on the Kodiak I’m not sure how to proceed.

You need the Garmin G1000NXI from the Marketplace to work on third-party aircraft. Make sure it is also updated!

From SU10 Release Notes:

  • Important G1000 NXi Note: The G1000 NXi is now default in SU10, however it will only display in default sim aircraft equipped with the G1000. To enable the G1000 NXi in third party G1000-equipped aircraft, please install and/or update the version of the G1000 NXi available from the Marketplace to ensure you have v0.14.

Simworks announced on their Discord that the next update will switch to the new default G1000 NXi. Until then you will need the updated version from Working Title that is still in the Marketplace for this exact situation where planes haven’t yet been updated and still require it.

I’m pretty sure that’s a typo. I have the latest version and it reads v1.0.4 in the manifest file.

Thanks for the info. I will probably wait for the next Kodiak update.

If you dont want to wait, you could simply edit the panel.cfg´s- Just change the lines with the
htmlgauge00=NavSystems/AS1000/PFD/AS1000_PFD.html?Index=1, 0,0,1024,768
and
htmlgauge00=NavSystems/AS1000/PFD/AS1000_MFD.html, 0,0,1024,768

to

htmlgauge00=NavSystems/WTG1000/PFD/WTG1000_PFD.html, 0, 0, 1024, 768

htmlgauge00=NavSystems/WTG1000/MFD/WTG1000_MFD.html,0,0,1024,768

It’s not a typo - there are a couple of different nxi folders, and the one referenced in the notes is indeed 0.14.
